The Platform

Lets work together to make Dane County a place where we all can thrive.

Affordable Housing

Over the past two years, Henry has worked to secure over $28 million for affordable housing in Dane County. Henry will continue this work to next term.

Lakes

By funding an over $1.5 million dollar investment into PFAS cleanup at the Dane County Regional Airport, Henry, and the Board are taking meaningful steps to make our lakes safe and healthy.

Public Transit

We must invest in public transit. Henry stands ready to work with State and local leaders to bring Amtrak to Madison and expand existing services.

Police Accountability

With the body-worn camera pilot program wrapping up, Henry will ensure that body-worn cameras become standard across the entire Sheriff's Office.

Henry also supports the complete closure of the City-County building jail and a reposing of the space to serve our community.

Paths and Parks

Henry backs the Lake Monona waterfront redevelopment and the expansion of Dane County public lands to keep the county’s park system the best in the state.

Airport

The Dane County Regional Airport continues to grow in passenger volume. Expanding flight service and making MSN an international airport are essential.

Alliant Energy Center

Throughout 2024, it has been made clear that the AEC hold promise as a premier destination for major events - from the long-running World Dairy Expo to numerous presidential campaign events. A new outdoor plaza at the AEC is a first step towards redevelopment, but more can be done. Henry will continue to support these efforts to made Dane County a destination for major events.

Community

From supporting local unions to working to provide for the needs of our community, Henry has been a strong advocate for District 5.

Dane County Jail

We must make sure mental health services are prioritized in the new building. Henry will also focus on community-based alternatives to keep people out of jail.

County Visibility

While many people are familiar with the Madison Common Council, many do not know the role of the County Board. Henry wants to work to bring more attention to the role of the Board.
